We take great pride in selecting the best publishers to join our company.  Our qualification and decision process is set up to select publishers who are committed to the communities they serve and possess the skills necessary to become a GETAWAY publisher. While a sales background is most common, our publishers also have experience in marketing, operations, finance and project management.

 

Publisher candidates will go through the following selection process:

 

Step 1: We need to hear from you! Contact us by phone or email and we will respond within 24 hours during the business week. If weekends are a better time to speak with you, please let us know.

 

Step 2: Our initial call is meant to give you an overview of our business and should last 15-30 minutes. In this call, you will learn about our company, our philosophies and our business model. From there, if you are still interested in becoming a GETAWAY publisher, you will move to the next step.

 

Step 3: Now you will speak with an active publisher in our network. This publisher will be able to give you a nuts-and-bolts review of what operating a GETAWAY market is like. He/She will review information about your market, such as hotel room count and a tourism overview. The publisher will help you learn how to assess your market and understand the opportunities there. You'll be asked to do some homework to gain a better perspective on your market.

 

Step 4: The publisher will set up a follow up call to discuss your findings. We want you to be comfortable that your market is GETAWAY-ready! If you're ready to proceed, we'll ask you to fill out a licensee application and provide your resume'.

 

Step 5: Now you will speak with a GETAWAY board member prior to your consideration as the exclusive GETAWAY licensee in your market. You will be invited to visit an operating GETAWAY market to get a personal tour of a GETAWAY market and gain a better understanding of how to launch your market.

 

Step 6: If your application is approved by the board, we will welcome you to the GETAWAY team!

 

Step 7: You are now a GETAWAY publisher helping visitors have a great time in your market and helping local businesses grow. We're happy to have you as a part of our team!
