How many markets are served by GETAWAY?
GETAWAY Media currently publishes in six markets. Our company started with four markets, Beaumont/Lake Charles, Charlotte, Reno/Tahoe and Salt Lake City. We also added Nashville and Sacramento in 2010. We are currently expanding the GETAWAY brand into other national markets.

How do GETAWAY publishers make money?
GETAWAY publishers make money primarily by creating and producing an editorial magazine and other targeted products that local businesses use to advertise their products or services to hotel guests and other visitors. With the launch of our website in early 2011, GETAWAY Media continues its efforts to develop and expand our product offerings that will benefit our publishers, our local business partners, our readers and the GETAWAY brand.
I want to purchase my market. How long will it be until I have magazines in hotels?

Is GETAWAY a franchise?
No. We are a licensed distributorship. This means that while we do provide best practices used by other publishers, we do not extensively train licensees or impose standards that are not related to the license or brand upon your business. This gives you the flexibility to work how you want, where you want and create a product and product lines that make sense for your market. Is GETAWAY a part-time business?
Eventually, we would love it if you could run your business part-time. However, you should expect to work full-time. Building your market and establishing the necessary relationships for success takes time and effort. Most publishers hire help: sales people, writers, designers and so on, to shore up the portions of the business they don’t have time or skill set to do.
Can I run GETAWAY from anywhere?
Yes, but, just as when you start you won’t be working part-time, you will need to be living in your market as you start up and cement the reputation of your magazine and the GETAWAY brand. GETAWAY's local expertise is important to the GETAWAY brand and experience. You may decide to hire employees to expand your business, which could provide an opportunity to manage the business remotely. Only you will be able to tell if and when the time is right to break away and let business happen while you are away.

Yes! While our initial focus is in the United States, we fully anticipate international expansion opportunities. Please

Because GETAWAY Media is not a franchise, we do not offer a prospectus or franchise disclosure to those interested in our business opportunity. We do provide a number of tools and have a thorough selection process to help us decide if you are the right candidate for a market license and if GETAWAY is the right business for you. Absolutely! We are constantly searching for talent to assist publishers with advertising sales, editorial, copyediting, graphic design and photography. We can pair you with a GETAWAY publisher once a market is sold. Just
