Moonlight Beach Encinitas

Moonlight Beach Encinitas—FAMILY FRIENDLY

Looking to step away from the traditional crowded San Diego beaches this summer? Look no further than Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. This family-friendly beach is a favorite among the locals and has something for everyone.

You’ll find a sand volleyball court set up for the sports enthusiast, picnic areas to refuel before returning to the water, a playground to help entertain the kids and nearby restrooms.

The amazing Southern California cliffs are your backdrops with the tranquil ocean meeting the sand on the horizon. There are several lifeguards to ensure your safety and plenty of free parking along the streets.  We recommend you take the Coaster, a commuter train which runs north and south along the coast between San Diego and Oceanside, and enjoy the relaxing ride and breath-taking view. You can get off at the Encinitas stop and walk two blocks to the beach!

Coronado Beach

Coronado Beach

Voted # 6 as America’s best beach by the Travel Channel, Coronado Beach is a clean family-friendly beach in the backyard of the historic Hotel Del. The soft white sand meets the calm waters making it a perfect place for a family swim.  Volleyball courts located on the beach offer you a little extra fun in the sun.

Clean restrooms make it convenient for families and lifeguards provide a safe experience.  You’ll also find free parking located around the island. On the far north end of the beach, dogs are welcome to enjoy the surf and the sand making it a great day for the whole family.
