This hotel is close to many many historical, cultural and recreational attractions -- many within walking distance! Close by is the American River Bike Trail starting at Discovery Park. Just beyond this (a short walk along this trail!) is Old Sacramento, which is a 28-acre state park preserving Sacramento's inital days as a trading post for the Gold Rush, and home to the California State Railroad Museum, the California Military Museum, Wells-Fargo History Museum and Sacramento History Museum, and the famed Delta King floating hotel-restaurant-theater. Just across the Tower Bridge on the Sacramento River is Raley Field -- home to the Sacramento Rivercats baseball team. Near Interstate 5 are the Crocker Art Museum and the California Auto Museum. A few blocks east is the Leland Stanford Mansion State Park, which now hosts visiting dignitaries and heads of state. 2 blocks down N Street begins the 19-acre California State Capitol grounds, and across L Street is the Sacramento Convention Center complex which includes the Community Center Theatre. Returning west on J Street takes you to Cesar Chavez Park in front of City Hall, home to Friday Night Concerts in the Park. Amongst all these treasures are tree-lined streets, lots of benches, and great restaurants to explore! Don't forget -- if you have a question, ask the Yellow-capped Community Service Guides from the Downtown Sacramento Partnership!
