  • Entertainment, food, family and friends converge under the stars on the scenic shore of Lake Tahoe each summer as Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival (LTSF) – a premiere summer event in the Reno/Tahoe region – produces live theater entertainment at Sand Harbor, Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park. The season is anchored by the Festival’s mainstage productions of Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost and the hilarious Sherlock Holmes whodunit The Hound of the Baskervilles in 2017. A Showcase Series series augments the Festival’s mainstage productions and features live events from a variety of genres. The LTSF experience is complemented by al fresco dining at its on-site restaurant – Shakespeare’s Kitchen which offers a wide variety of gourmet dining options. Alternatively, patrons may bring their own food/drink for picnicking. The Festival’s education programming is highlighted by the D.G. Menchetti Young Shakespeare Program – free performances produced for younger audiences at Lake Tahoe and throughout northern Nevada.
