  • Downtown Sparks will become a sparkling winter wonderland as 39 North Downtown hosts the 4th Annual 39 North Pole Village. This holiday light festival will feature thousands of twinkling lights, holiday shopping booths, great food, family fun and holiday cheer. The event is on Thursday and Friday from 4pm-9pm and Saturday from Noon-9pm.

39 North Pole Village this year will have more vendors, double the amount of family activities and the plaza will be saturated in holiday light displays and memories. The heated vendor tent will provide you with a great opportunity to shop local this holiday season. Santa will be there for all to take free photos and to listen to Christmas wish lists.

Everyone is excited about the 3rd annual Griswold Challenge. Tholl Fencefrom Sparks is the defending champion. They won $300 in the contest last year. We expect the prize money to at least double this year, so get your team together and get ready to compete! This display competition is fun because it allows you to bring out your inner elf while creating fun memories and possibly earning some sweet cash prizes!

Engine 39, the trackless electric train, will be giving out free rides to all! This train is for the whole city to use year-round for events both big and small. We are proud to be the “Rail City!”

For vendor, sponsor or Griswold contest entry info please contact Angela Handler at (775) 690-2581 or angela@39NorthDowntown.com .

Holiday decor can also be donated so we may decorate enough to make Clark Griswold proud. Donations can be dropped off at LoKa Tile, located at 972 E. Greg Street in Sparks during normal business hours.
