Nov 11: Veterans Day Parade (Reno)

Honor our veterans and march hrough the heart of downtown Reno for the Veteran’s Day Parade. Opening ceremony will start at 11:11 a.m. (11th hour of the 11th day of the month on the 11th month of the year) and the parade will follow, starting at the Virginia Street Bridge. visitrenotahoe.com

 

November 22: Scheel’s Turkey Trot (Sparks)

Start a new tradition on Thanksgiving morning with your family by participating in the Scheel’s Turkey Trot at the Outlets at Legends. Dress up in a Thanksgiving outfit (optional) and run or walk the distance of your choice. They have an untimed two-mile walk/run and timed 10K run. Sign up today! cityofsparks.us

 

December 7 – 8: Christmas Holidays in Genoa (Genoa)

Begin the Christmas holiday celebration early with Christmas Holidays in Genoa. They have a variety of events going on all weekend. From Christmas caroling, tree lighting, breakfast with Santa, a food drive and more, you are sure to get in the holiday spirit. genoanevada.org

 

December 7 – 9: Barton Health Festival of Trees and Lights (MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa)

The 10th annual Barton Health Festival of Trees & Lights is a family event perfect to celebrate the holidays. They have a tree decorating competition, you can meet Santa and get your photo taken, there is local entertainment and more! December 18 – 31: Heavenly Holidays (Heavenly Village, South Lake Tahoe)

‘Tis the season! Heavenly Holidays is a two-week festival full of fun events in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. They have ice sculptures, live entertainment, a 16-foot snowglobe what you can get in and take a picture with Santa, and more. Dec 29 – 31: Snowglobe Music Festival (South Lake Tahoe)

This is a one-of-a-kind experience of music and mountains. Snowglobe Music Festival is an all-ages event full of live entertainment on multiple stages, ending with a huge New Year’s Eve party!
