Spring into these Reno/Tahoe events. From festivals, food tours, the rodeo and more, these are some of  my favorite events I think you should mark on your calendar this spring.

April 26 – 28:
Genoa Western Heritage Days (Genoa)

Join us for a weekend of live western music, cowboy poetry and learn about Genoa’s western heritage. This is a family friendly event taking place throughout Genoa. Get your tickets! @GenoaWesternHeritage

April 27:
Dine the District Food Tour (Reno Riverwalk District)

Enjoy a variety of culinary delights Reno has to offer as you explore some of the best restaurants in the area while also supporting the development of the Riverwalk District. Tickets are available online or the day of. renoriverwalk.org 

May 25 – May 26:
Made in Tahoe Festival (Squaw Valley)

Celebrate all things local! Discover, explore and experience what local artists, businesses, chefs, organizations and entertainers have to offer. They get their inspiration from beautiful Lake Tahoe, an area that we love so much. squawalpine.com/events

 June 1:
Tahoe Brewfest (South Lake Tahoe)

All beer lovers unite! The Tahoe Brewfest is bigger and better this year with more non-alcoholic options, as well as ciders, more shade, seating and food. If you don’t see your favorite brewery here, try and get them on the list. Check out their website to see how. tahoebrewfest.com 

June 6-9:
109thAnnual Carson ValleyDays(Carson Valley)

Celebrate Carson Valley! They have carnival rides, live music, a parade, craft and food vendors, face painting, tournaments, bounce house, raffle and more! See their website for the full list of events and times. visitcarsonvalley.org 

June 2029:
Reno Rodeo(Reno)

Kick the dust up at the annual “wildest, richest rodeo in the west.” See real-life cowboys and cowgirls take part in bull riding, professional roping and more action-packed events. Plus, you can enjoy live music, food, vendors, the carnival and theme nights. But don’t let the party end there, if you are 21+ years old, continue the country night at the Jack Tent! renorodeo.com

June 1415:
Eldorado’s BBQ, Brews & Blues Festival (Reno)

Fire up the grills, tap the kegs and crank up the tunes for Reno’s best summer kickoff party! BBQ, Brews and Blues Festival at the Eldorado Resort Casino has mouthwatering barbeque, microbrew tasting with more than 40 beers from around the world, and a two-stage music festival featuring nonstop rock and blues. eldoradoreno.com

July 4:
Parade with Genoa (Genoa)

Celebrate the Fourth of July at an event the whole family can enjoy. The Genoa Americana July 4thCelebration has children’s games, chicken barbeque, live music, a parade and more! They will conclude with a performance by the Carson Symphony Orchestra. genoanevada.org

July 4:
Fireworks at Lake Tahoe (South Lake Tahoe)

Cruise aboard Zephyr Cove’s MS Dixie II and enjoy dinner along with a front row seat to the Fourth of July fireworks show. Or find a place at one of South Lake Tahoe’s many beaches and watch the show. There isn’t a bad seat when it comes to this fireworks display! zephyrcove.com

July 4:
Baseball & Fireworks (Reno)

Celebrate America’s birthday the most American way, baseball followed by postgame fireworks. The Reno Aces take on the Sacramento River Cats and a ticket to the game includes the fireworks show. milb.com

July 5 – Aug 25:
Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival (Sand Harbor, Lake Tahoe)

July 9 – 14:
Tahoe Celebrity Golf Week (South Lake Tahoe)

Watch celebrity athletes tee off at the annual American Century Championship at the beautiful Edgewood Golf Course. In past years, there have been some pretty big names in attendance including Aaron Rodgers, Charles Barkley and Justin Timberlake!
