May, adventurer and philanthropist, the museum houses his personal and private collection of thousands of rare and exotic artifacts he picked up on his world travels.

    The arboretum and botanical gardens are located on 23 sprawling acres, with 13 acres home to more than 4,000 native and adaptive plant species. You and your whole family will enjoy strolling through the garden, which is free to get in and open year-round during regular park hours.

    The museum admittance is only a nominal fee of $5 for adults, $3.50 for children ages 3-17 and $3.50 for senior adults. The Wilbur D. May Center is the perfect destination for a leisurely day of learning and getting in touch with nature, plus it’s budget friendly too!
