Tasty appetizers like Fried Pork Skin Nachos

Craving a late night snack? How about a colossal late night menu complete with giant pancake plates, monstrous burritos, and all the perks of a full menu…after all the bars have long been closed?

Brian’s 24 is a breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and late night hot spot located on 6th Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter. Before diving into their diverse menu, make sure you’ve brought a substantial appetite. The portions are more than generous.

I dropped by Brian’s for lunch, and it turned into an eating extravaganza like I’ve never experienced before.

I started with a decadent Bloody Mary to kick off the parade of food that was about to take place. It was packed with flavor as I looked for an appetizer to share. I tried to find something I knew was exclusive to Brian’s, and I didn’t have to search for long.

Fried pork skin nachos, or “Chichirrachos” as they’re displayed on the menu, definitely fit that description. This enormous serving of nachos consisted of thick and crispy fried pork skin, covered in melted cheddar jack cheese, with a hearty drizzle of chipotle ranch sauce.

I can honestly say I’ve never tried anything like this before.  The taste and texture is something every foodie needs to experience.

Filling Mediterranean Chicken

Next was the Mediterranean Chicken.  This was my personal favorite. This entrée is bursting with flavor.

The succulent chicken is covered in peppers, saturated in white balsamic vinegar sauce, and topped with crispy breading.  The wild rice served on the side, pairs perfectly with the flavors of the chicken.

After this entrée, I really didn’t think I was capable of eating anything else. Perfect timing for the ABC Burger to be placed in front of me.

Avocado, Bacon and Chipotle Ranch Sauce…need I say more? For all my carnivorous burger enthusiasts, this is the burger for you.

While pancakes didn’t exactly follow the theme of this lunch lineup, you just cant leave Brian’s 24 without having one of their signature fluffy, buttermilk pancakes.

ABC Burger – Avocado, Bacon and Chipotle Ranch Sauce. Need we say more?

I must have had some room to spare, because I finished with a salted caramel cheesecake – then I passed out.

Just kidding, but I don’t remember the last time I have ever been that full in my entire life.

For food lovers of all shapes and sizes, Brian’s 24 needs to be a destination location.

Need a burger? Craving breakfast at 2 am? Want a burrito the size of your forearm? If you’re hungry for literally ANYTHING at ANYTIME, Brian’s 24 is the place to be.
